Okanomiya Sengen Shrine: A Huge Camphor Tree with a Long History!〜

This post is also available in: 日本語 (Japanese)  Okanomiya Sengen Shrine in Okanomiya Numazu.   岡宮公民館の裏手にある小さな神社ですが、一歩境内に足を踏み入れると とても存在感のある大きなクスの木に圧倒される。                   このクスの木は樹齢千数百年と推定され、根周り約14.1mm、高さは約21mあり、現在も樹盛は旺盛である。 これほど大きい巨木は付近では珍しく、眺めているだけでパワーがみなぎってくる。 こちらのクスの木は県指定の天然記念物で「ぬまづの宝100選」にも選ばれている。         静岡県沼津市岡宮285
